"I entered public service with a commitment to affect change, especially for those - including youth, veterans, minority populations, and senior citizens – whose voices are typically not heard.
As your Township Supervisor, I will work with you to make Pittsfield a leader of environmental and economic prosperity in the region. We can do so by building regional partnerships, tapping collaborative funding streams to build a solid base of environmental preservation programs, nurture entrepreneurship, and expand community services. I will use my extensive background in Urban Planning to work with you to develop and implement a vision of connecting our communities with each other and the region through non-motorized and public transit, making open and recreational spaces more accessible while ensuring fiscal stewardship and providing for the safety of all residents of Pittsfield Township." The skills and experience of my career in the public sector will be put to good use as we improve services and enhance the quality of life in Pittsfield Township.” Alan Israel |
“Washtenaw County enjoys beautiful surroundings that include a diversity of plant species and wildlife habitats. As a member, and currently Vice President, of the Washtenaw County
Parks and Recreation Commission, I have exercised authority over a $9 million budget, some 300 employees, 3200 acres of land that include a recreation center, golf course and water park.I am particularly interested in protecting the significant natural features and recreational offerings for the entire community’s benefit in Pittsfield Township and specifically improving residents’ access to our township’s fabulous parks and natural resources. The quality of life in Pittsfield Township is essential to our economic viability. To attract and hold the businesses of tomorrow; we must offer our residents the amenities that will appeal to the demands of a highly skilled and diverse work force.” Patricia Tupacz Scribner |
